Christship - Be angry and do not sin

  BE ANGRY AND DO NOT SIN   Let’s be honest, how many of us have pondered on this verse and how many of us wondered why this verse was even included in the Bible? And finally, how many of us really tried understanding the meaning? Well, I have done all three; first pondered, then wondered and finally understood the meaning. You may ask how and that’s exactly what I am sharing with you this week. We all know our understanding of the word of God comes from the Holy Spirit or the Helper who was sent to us to remind us of all the things. We will talk about the Helper another day and today let us focus on anger and sin in the same context. What if I say, this verse is misapplied in many instances by giving importance to the last part of the verse ‘ do not let the sun go down on your anger ’ which is making anger an acceptable form of feeling or reaction.   Trust in God or Have Faith in God Proverbs 3:5 | Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding.  Welcome to the 3 rd week on the Lentin season and to my 2 nd Christship blog and today I have an interesting and also the most debatable topic; Trust in God or Have Faith in God.  Let’s first explore trust a bit before we head to the topic. There are many interpretations / meanings of trust, but my favorite one is ‘trust is having faith when it would be easy to feel faithless. It is believing, the unbelievable and knowing the unknown’. I can’t remember where I read this, but I think this is probably one of the best definitions you can find, even if you google that resonates with what Paul wrote about faith in Hebrews 11:1 | Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
